1/20 (Sat) — 11:30am- 1:30pm      Annual Membership Meeting mini-MBMGCC_Logo

The Annual Member’s Meeting will be at Coconut Kenny’s in Burlington, Saturday January 20 from 11:30am until 1:30pm.    Hope to see everyone there to plan 2018 adventures.  To have the food ready we need your RSVP by  Wednesday January 17 .  Please call Joel at (360) 778-1601 or via email

5/3 (Thurs) — 5:30pm       Thursday Night Beer & Cars  mini-MBMGCC_Logo   
Lets meet up at Local 20 Taproom in Sedro Woolley,102 Woodworth Street.  They have beer, cider and wine on tap.  Indoor and outdoor seating.  John and Becky will be waiting to see who will join us for some Beer and Cars.  We can order $10.00 Pizza’s from Coconut Kenny’s next door for the 10 year anniversary.  Come by for a beer and a bite, we all should have some fun.  Any questions please call 360-770-4220 or email jrtaft@frontier.com. 6/9-10 (Sat-Sun) — 9:00am       Grand Coulee Trip  mini-MBMGCC_Logo   
Stan & Kathy are planning a Grand Coulee trip for June 9 & 10.  Meet at Joy’s Bakery in Sedro Woolley at 9am, leaving at 9:30.  First potty stop at Newhalem – lunch at Mike & Micki’s in Twisp – next potty stop at Pateros – final stop is the Columbia Inn (ph# 800-633-6421).  Supper will be at Pepper Jack’s. The light show starts at 8pm. We can walk across the street to the visitors center to watch the show. Sunday we can decide when to leave. There are other sites of interest: the bridge over the outfall of the dam with its historical pictures and texts of the dam and the observation site above the dam for on our way out Sunday. Last time we stopped at Marblemount for lunch on the way home.  Hopefully this early notice helps you plan for a fun trip.  Please let Stan know if you can participate.


7/15 (Sun)  — 9:00am – 3:00pm       1st  Annual Skagit Casino Car Show (free!)  
This is the inaugural event with a free t-shirt to each registrant.  Lots of prizes.  The Registration Form is HERE


8/25 (Sat)  — 7:30am       One Day LeMay Car Collection Tour      
The annual open house tours of the Marymount and Le May home car collections is Aug 25. This is just one day a year.  Not to be confused with the museum in Tacoma, next to the dome. If you drive your collector car, you can park in the display area at Marymount and don’t have to ride a shuttle from the parking areas. The gates for displaying your car open at 8AM and the public gates open at 9AM. If our members want to go as a group we can meet at the I5 south bound rest area in Everett at 7:30AM and go together. Cost is $15. There will food venders there for lunch, and you can view the cars that will go to auction the following day. Contact Stan for directions if needed.

Gather together at 12:00 with Pizza and Salad for Lunch as we have our Annual Meeting to Elect New Officers and plan the new year. 
Plenty of Parking in the new City Parking lot just South of the Building.   Directions coming from Burlington Edison High School Parking lot:
Turn right onto N Burlington Blvd. Go for 0.2 mi. — Turn left onto E Fairhaven Ave. Go for 0.2 mi. — Turn right onto S Spruce St. Go for 200 ft.
Arrive at Railroad Pub and Pizza. Your destination and parking on your left.

4/22 (Sat) — 8:00am – ???   36th Annual Tulip Rally
Annual Road Rally: time/distance/checkpoints touring the lovely tulip fields of Skagit County.  More detail & Event Flyer to come .. .. ..


5/20 (Sat) — 10:30am – ???      VanDusen All British Field Meet
The VanDusen show is held at the beautiful VanDusen Gardens in Vancouver.  There are 100’s of British Cars set in a beautiful garden setting.

6/11-11 (Sat-Sun) — 9:30am –  Grand Coulee Trip  mini-MBMGCC_Logo   
Stan & Kathy are planning a trip to Grand Coulee Dam.  Start 9:30am at Joy’s Bakery in Sedro Wooley.  Potty stop at Newhalem, lunch at Twisp . The motel is the Columbia Inn: 800-633-6421 (corrected phone #).  Members who plan to go please email Stan. He will call the motel to see if we can get a group rate.   


7/22 (Sat) — 10:30am –  Western Washington All British Field Meet – Salute to MGs!

7/26 (Wed) — 10:00am –  Impromptu Run to Mt Erie & Washington Park
Today we gathered at the Farmhouse Restaurant at 10:00. From there Stan & Kathy Sexton were kind enough to take us on a run to Mt. Erie and the back roads to Washington Park. The day was a clear as I can ever remember, and we enjoyed walking at the lookouts. What a beautiful day for a cruise. Afterwords we went to the old “A & W” drive inn for lunch. Stan & Kathy, John Taft, Lyle & Francie, and Kathy and I  attended.  A big thank you out to Stan & Kathy!

9/8 (Fri) — 10:00am – Skagit Valley Run  mini-MBMGCC_Logo
Kathy and I are hosting a MG Run on Friday the 8th. We will meet at 10:00 am at the Big Fir Clubhouse in our neighborhood.  From I-5 take the Anderson Exit (the last exit in south Mt. Vernon 225) turn east and drive up Anderson Rd. It turns into LaVenture Avenue at the first Stop sign at Blackburn St. Take a right on Blackburn St., drive two hundred feet and turn left into the entrance of Big Fir. The Clubhouse parking lot is left on the first curve. We will take a nice drive though the wooded back roads and end up at The Big Lake Bar & Grill for lunch.  Please let us know as soon as possible if you are coming so we can let the restaurant know.  email  or phone

10/13-15 (Fri-Sun) — 8:00am – Cranberry Festival Run  mini-MBMGCC_Logo
We’re planning a trip to the Grayland/Westport area during the annual Cranberry Festival.  We have a friend with cranberry bogs there and have watched harvesting before – very interesting!  Want to find out more, check out the flyer. If you think you might like to go, we encourage you to make hotel reservations soon as the festival is sometimes a big draw and rooms can get scarce. 10/21 (Sat) — noon- 2:00pm – Quarterly Meeting  mini-MBMGCC_Logo
The quarterly meeting will be at Coconut Kenny’s in Burlington. Saturday October 21st from 12:00 until 2:00.    Hope to see everyone there to plan the rest of the year and to start planning 2018.   The Christmas party will be December 9 at Tim and Kathy’s club house. She thinks it will be all decorated by then. Leslie B and Susan P are in charge of the party. You can contact them but I think they will have it under control.
