7/7 (Sat) — Time TBD Travel with the Vancouver Jaguar Club to Newby’s car & Military Museum
Timothy Horton of the Vancouver Jag Club is inviting us to join in on an excursion to Newby’s car and military museum in Aldergrove, just N of the border from Lynden. Please contact me via phone or email if interested ASAP so we can have a lunch count. Thanks, Joel
>I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to issue a formal invitation to your club members to join us once again for a drive and lunch in July. I had hoped to issue this earlier but the province changed the date of our annual BC Collector Car Appreciation Day, and we had to take some time to decide whether or not to change our date.
> At last years’ gathering in Lynden, several of the American guests expressed an interest in seeing the Newby’s collection of collector and military vehicles. We are organizing a drive for our club from Burnaby to Aldergrove for a visit to the Newbys estate. One of their buildings has a pub upstairs which can accommodate 50-60 guests for lunch, which we will have catered in.
> The plan would be for the American guests to come north on Route 539 to the Aldergrove-Lynden border crossing, then continue due north on Highway 13 into Aldergrove. The Newby estate is 10-15 minutes or so from the border.
> We will be setting up registration and payment on our club website but wanted to reach out to your club first to see if you are interested in joining us for the day. Hopefully this time we will all be able to eat together!
