The Mount Baker MG Car Club was founded in 1997. The founders’ key objectives were to promote the sport of driving and enjoying MGs . The club welcomes all owners, their friends, and anyone interested in the MG experience through the hospitality, privileges and convenience enjoyed in connection with the club. The founders’ hope was to enjoy good fellowship, safe driving, courtesy on the road and technical awareness in relation to the vehicle’s safety and reliability. The Mount Baker MG Car Club networks with several classic car clubs in the area as well as MG clubs worldwide.

The Mount Baker MG Car Club maintains a roster of approximately 40 members, with the majority living in an area North to Blaine, East to Sedro-Woolley, South to Everett, and West to Anacortes. The yearly calendar includes approximately 12 events. It starts with an informal dinner gathering in January for planning and ends in December with a Christmas party at a member’s home. During the driving season March-October, the club will have five or six functions which include a car run, usually meeting and beginning at Burlington-Edison High School, and ending at a member’s home for an informal gathering enjoying food and fellowship. The car run organizers always seem to come up with wonderful drives taking full advantage of the fact that our location is in one of the most scenic areas in Western Washington. Since the car run sponsors are familiar with the area, the drives are not only scenic, but well designed to use the back roads that wind through the mountains and river valleys that are perfect for driving and enjoying MGs.
